Fellowship with Jesus

You must continuously study the Bible to be able to grow in the Lord. Search the scriptures because the answer is not always found in one verse. The Bible gives us guidance in how to study. In Isaiah 28:10  For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

What is a precept?  A principle governing action or procedure based upon the Bible which are found in various scriptures, a little here and there. What this is telling us is to get the complete picture what the Bible is telling us is to build upon the whole Bible. Don't go through several Bibles trying to find one to suit you. We only use the King James Version (KJV) because we have found it to be the most accurate.

When Jesus died on the cross HE paid it all. So when we confess our sins and he forgives us, all of our sins - past, present and future - have been paid for by His blood, and we are forever a child of God. He will forgive us and will remember our sin no more.

But we can get out of fellowship. When we do something wrong we should stop right then and ask for forgiveness. I can remember as a child I would get in trouble, maybe call my brothers an ugly word, then I would have to ask for forgiveness. They would still be my brothers and my parents still be my parents but I would have to say, "I'm sorry."

We will never be perfect Christians. Bible says,  1 John 1:8-10 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10.  If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. Jesus' blood cleansed us from all sin.

When we sin, our fellowship with God is broken. He deals with our sin not as judge, but as Father.
1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
    Lord our daily prayer is

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen
